Project Engineer

Role: Project Engineer

Location: Bromont, QC 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our client, located in Bromont, manufactures aircraft engine components using manufacturing processes specialized and at the cutting edge of technology on robotic and automated platforms.

As a project engineer, you will manage technical projects in order to deliver projects automation, robotization and improvement of manufacturing processes in highly technological and varied. More specifically, you will have the following responsibilities:

· Supervise the design of automated cells;
· Develop robotic cells;
· Supervise, sign, 2D detail drawings of mechanical assemblies;
· Calculate and select the mechanical components;
· Carry out feasibility studies and develop concepts;
· Financially justify projects and supervise their installation and start-up;
· Prepare material lists and purchase requisitions. Follow up;
· Monitor assembly and testing, modify components as needed and document;
· Establish budgets and timelines.
· Inform the investment manager of the progress of the work and of any current or potential problems
;

· Help implement best practices within the organization;
· Participate in other team activities (risk analysis, documentation of SR&ED projects, etc.);

MAIN QUALIFICATIONS: (Education, experience, skills):
Required:
· Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other related specialization;
· Have 3 years of experience in project management;
· Experience in the design and manufacture of machines, automated systems and robotics,
in the context of manufacturing processes;

· Demonstrate technical leadership;
· Have an excellent spirit of analysis and synthesis as well as a developed sense of organization;
· Resourceful and skilled in solving applied problems;
· Demonstrate strong communication skills, as well as initiative and good teamwork;

Will be considered an asset:
· Have experience in the aeronautical sector;
· Master the technical aspects of metrology and geometric tolerancing;
· Knowledge of Operator Interface Programming (HMI);
· Bilingualism (French and English);
· Be a member of the O.I.Q. as an engineer.
