Our client is a leading innovator in the aerospace industry, committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions to our clients worldwide. We are seeking a talented Junior Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of excellence in aerospace design and manufacturing.

Job Description: As a Junior Mechanical Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of aerospace components and structures. You will collaborate with Senior Designers, Project Engineers, and Architects to define project scopes, review previous work, and contribute to the design process. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Design Work: You will spend a significant portion of your day engaged in the design of aerospace components and structures, using Catia V5 for CAD/drawing and drafting.

  • Collaboration: You will engage in Q&A sessions with stakeholders and peers, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure the quality and precision of the design work.

Requirements: To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • 2 years of Structural Design Experience: You should have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in structural design, with a focus on aerospace applications.

  • Catia V5 Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise with Catia V5 for CAD/drawing and drafting of parts is essential.

  • Bachelor’s Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or a related field is required to ensure a strong foundation in mechanical design principles.

  • Aerospace Experience: Prior experience in structural design within the aerospace industry is highly desirable.

  • Composite Design: Experience in composite design is a significant advantage, as it is frequently utilized in aerospace applications.

  • Manufacturing Support: Familiarity with supporting manufacturing processes is a plus, as it enhances the practicality of your designs.

  • GD&T Tolerancing: Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is essential for creating precise and manufacturable designs.

  • G-suite Knowledge: Basic knowledge of G-suite tools will facilitate effective collaboration and communication within the team.
