About the division: Smart Building System (SBS) is an innovative and fast-growing Program part of Connected Buildings Line of Business and Digital Energy Division.

The program has a global scope and focuses on Room Control across all building segments as well as specific solutions for Hotel and Retail segments.

ROLE AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Candidate is responsible for all aspects of elaboration and technical description of the product and marketing vision and requirements.

Her/his responsibility includes clearly conveying and maintaining updated the vision in question to the development team through the prioritized product/component backlog.

Working closely with the RTE, System Architects, Hardware Designers, Software Designer, Project Manager, Scrum Master, Technical Writer, Operations Team, Industrialization, and Offer Manager the duties will consist but not limited to the following:

• Own the product/component backlog.

• Write clear requirements and functional specifications based on marketing use cases
• Understand the business value, and can combine technology, and business factors when making design decisions with team;
• Make sure the team understands the end to end solution;
• Lead, document and communicate vision for a product/component;

• Align the vision of the product with other product owners and various teams;

• Participate in solution increment activities, from planning to execution; • Continually prioritize and adjust scope (product backlog) based on the evolving needs of the stakeholders;
• Help the team get answers or gain access to expert and stakeholder to refine product requirements and use cases;
• Manage technical and business requirements harmoniously to maintain the robustness and scalability of the product.

• Encourage the development team to adhere and respect a strong definition of done;
• Produce reports as requested by the Director and Project Managers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills (English and/or French).
• Excellent communicator;
• Good negotiator; • Good at motivating people;
• Curious and passionate about product development;

• Curious and passionate about technologies;
• Passionate about continuous customer experience improvement;

• Strong “can do” attitude;
• Strong “go get it” attitude;
• Able to work under pressure;

• Deliver quality products on time.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

• Product vision is documented (as per template) and up to date on confluence for released products (>= product description documents exist before every version planning (>= 90% release planning version);

• Product backlog is prioritized and ready before Sprint and Product Increment planning.
