DETAILS: Warehouse/ Customer Support Worker
Our client is a global company with 200 locations across 12 countries. Our client develops and deploys custom distribution and supply chain solutions for customers in Automotive, Primary Metal, Food Processing, Public Utilities, Pulp and Paper, Mining, and Material Handling industries. Their product categories include bearings, mechanical power transmission, electrical power transmission and motion control, linear motion, pneumatic and hydraulic fluid power, industrial, safety and material handling.

In a snapshot, in this role you will be responsible for:

  • Shipping/receiving
  • Inventory counting and stocking
  • Deliveries and vendor managed inventory at customer location
  • Order entry and inside sales support functions

Job Duties
Counter/Customer Service
Consistently conveys that customers are the highest priority.
Respects the customer’s needs and expectations and will inform customer if these cannot be met.
Communicates in a manner that promotes and sustains customer satisfaction and encourages team members to do the same. Meets or exceeds productivity standards that have been established.
Collaborate with Branch Manager to determine necessary strategic sales approaches
Prioritizes tasks and manages time to ensure that deadlines are met.
Adjust communication style to meet the needs of individuals at various organizational levels and to meet the needs of customers.
Establish a pattern for working independently, meeting all reasonable deadlines and accepting responsibility for own actions.
Overcome objections of prospective customers.
Accurately pull and properly pack ALL orders for shipments;
Ship all orders as per instructions;Ship all inter-branch transfers as per instructions;
Physically receive all incoming goods & deliveries;
Update receiving records in the computer;
All returns are put in the designated area with the proper paperwork attached handled as per branch instructions;
Incoming shipments are signed after checking for the following: correct number of packages, any damages and ensuring it is for company;
Cycle counts as required, following company procedures;
Fix all receiving errors/problems the same day;
Stock is to be put away neatly, safely and in the correct BIN locations using storage and handling instructions ;
Sweep floors including the aisles and keep a neat and tidy warehouse;
Suppliers packing slips are signed and forwarded for filing;
Forward completed COs for invoicing;
Check for any mail to be sent to head-office;“Help out” when asked, and offer assistance when regular work is completed;
Job Requirements
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent – (not essential)
Three years of customer service experience
Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
Ability to quickly pick up new product and service knowledge, and communicate that knowledge effectively to customers
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated time management skills
Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
Ability to adapt to new technology
