Data Science Manager

Part of the MTECH Data Science worldwide Network, this position is responsible for ensuring the quality and validated state of data used for routine trending and process monitoring activities such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Continuous Process Verification (CPV), and to support significant investigations. As Business System Owner (BSO), they must ensure the GxP compliance for the data systems under their domain. This necessitates a comprehensive understanding of all vaccine manufacturing processes on-site, to provide the proper context for the integration of data from various source systems used throughout the Sanofi network. These source systems include SAP for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data, LabWare LIMS for Quality Control (QC) data, as well as proprietary data systems for deviation information, change management, electronic data capture, data warehousing, and data lakes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Take the Local System Owner role for Data Science applications: GxP compliance, computerized system definition, responsible of the training and access management, business incident and data management, sustaining the validated status of the system (change control, inventory…). Primary contact for technical support between both business end users and Information Technology Services (40%).
• in strong partnership with the Sanofi Pasteur Digital Transformation and ITS organization, deliver robust and efficient data management and data integration solutions, tools to support process trending, phase 3 validation, and process robustness activities, while maintaining alignment with site and global priorities. (30%).
• Collaborate with global teams to design, build and roll out locally next gen data analytics solutions to support IOT activities, real-time process monitoring, and Process Analytical Technology (PAT) implementation (20%).
• Lead and mentor Data Science co-op students, who provide data management support, perform routine Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) activities such as data cleansing, and application development for Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) by following Agile Product Data Management (PDM) methodologies (10%).

• Regional responsibility as administrator of North American electronic data capture system
• Global responsibility to support continuous improvement and evolution of data warehousing and data analytics software solutions, used by all Vaccines sites

REQUIREMENTS
Education/Certifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or Engineering

Experience
• Minimum 3 years previous manufacturing industry experience to complement their degree, with analytical data science experience is an asset
• Excellent computer skills, and proficiency with Office applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Access, Teams, and SharePoint) is required
• Experience with maintenance of structured databases, executing SQL queries, and Master Data Management (MDM) is desired
• Familiarity with statistical software such as JMP or Statistica is an asset
• Programming experience with Python, Matlab, R, Javascript, CSS is an asset

Competencies
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; competent presentation skills a must.
• Must be a fast learner and a self-starter, and able to adapt to a fast paced environment while multitasking between competing priorities
• Leadership / Experience in multi-functions projects lead and in understanding customer's voice and quality requirements is a must
