CNC PROGRAMMER (CATIA)

Full time, Kitchner

Day to day operations in the engineering department with CNC programming activities using Catia v5. 

Tasks

Formulates the manufacturing process plan by use of the bills of Material, Project Development Schedules and ODS sheets
Instigates the entry of the above into the MRP system
Reviews contract review forms for accuracy to quote
Liaises with customers on changes and informs relative departments by incorporating changes into the MPP
Instigate the design, purchase of fixturing, special tools and handling equipment required
Develops rework schemes
Requisitions special gauges as needed
Studies and improves the manufacturing process by monitoring quality, cycle times and methods of operations
Conducts self at all times in a professional manner and adheres to all company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements
Attends daily engineering department shift start up meetings
Any other duties as assigned
Manage the execution of part development stage, including methodology, document approvals, tool design and fabrication, process development and completion, operation by operation fabrication to final assembly and delivery of first article batch.
CNC programming using Catia v5
Selecting cutting tools
Programming tool paths
Issuing new programs and tape proving on machines
Rework schemes adn new tool testomonies among other programming activities

Requst 
Understanding of AS9100 and its impact on the position requirements
Task Oriented with impeccable technical accuracy
Practical experience programming in Catia v5
Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
