CONTRACTOR – DevOps Developer  (200001E9) 

 

Missions

 

The mission of the ARC/LAB department is to provide the frameworks, tools and platforms to the other IT teams, in order to develop the application for our business users and enhance our digital offer on https://sgmarkets.com . This department is split into several sub-teams in charge of the web frameworks, of the API catalog, of the Docker platform, of the Big Data platform, of the security tools, etc. These teams are distributed in France, India and Canada.

 

The Continuous Delivery Team is in charge of the development tools as the IDE, the SDKs, the GIT servers, the Jenkins/Teamcity servers, Jira, Nexus, XLDeploy, etc. This team located in Canada is covering all users of the American region, including Montréal, New-York and Chicago.

 

 
The main tasks are as follows but not limited to:
 
Support :
o Ensure of the stability and availability of the services/tools of the software factory
o Comply wit the SLA of the platform in FTS (Follow The Sun) mode
o Ensure to operate the services in compliance with the security rules
 
Spread the knowledge:
o Contribute to the documentation and spread the good usage of the tools
o Promote the good practices of the Continuous Delivery platform, and animate events / community
 
Participate on development and evolution of the offer:
o Implement prototypes and conduct POC to validate new tools to be included in the software factory
o Install and upgrade tools and new instances of the tools
o Implement the Python API to automate the creation of our services
o Participate to the evolution of our offer on the Public Cloud Microsoft Azure
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Profile

 

Autonomy level:
 
The candidate must be able to animate meetings in autonomy with the users, represent the department in front of the application managers, self manage his working time and raise alerts if needed.
 
Important: the candidate must understand the internal tooling, be able to prioritize, do a follow-up of ongoing actions and keep people informed on the delay.
 
The candidate will report to the manager located in Paris, and will interact with his colleagues in Paris (France) and Bangalore (India)
 
Experience:
  • 3 years of experience in development or administration of tools of the Software Factory. 
Technical skills:
  • Knowledge of one or more development tools in Java, .Net, JavaScript and Python (Maven, MS Build, etc.). 
  • Knowledge in Python development and Docker deployment is a plus.
  • Knowledge on configuration or administration of tools like Jira, Jenkins, Teamcity, GitHub, Artifactory, Nexus, XLDeploy, Sonar. 
  • Knowledge in Linux (Bash) is a plus.
Soft skills:
  • Practical sense: the candidate must suggest pragmatical solutions to fit the need of the team project, while respecting the quality standards.
  • Analysis and synthesis: be able to understand complex problems involving multiple IT teams or users.
  • Organisation and planning: be able to manage his working time autonomously
